Wow.

I have never been so overwhelmed by the amount of support from band fans, assistance from friends with the event itself, and mutual interest from the venue.

FIRST-none of this would have been possible without the man upstairs keeping my dear Gears Baker with me after her car accident. Melissa has been right next to me the whole way-from literally helping move stage pieces, to getting involved with the marketing and planning, to being amazingly crafty and making the event look the way it did. I love you Bakes 🙂

There are so many other factors and I will try to illustrate for the benefit of YOU who came to support these great musicians, and try to keep it brief.

Having good sound is so important in not taking away from the talent of the bands-for this we have Chris Amato to thank. He worked non-stop to ensure every band had what they needed, & felt comfortable with their mix. I intend to only increase the amount of sound equip so this trend will continue. Thanks so much to Russ Perkins for providing EXCELLENT lighting for our event. We all know how important this factor is 😉  ! Thank you to my staff who rocked that sh*t. Sean Keane, Joe Meyers, Alexander Robinson, & DINO Baldino!

Thank you to all of the kick-ass musicians that created the music and ambiance we experienced this weekend.

Thank you to Rich, his wife Rita, and his amazing staff for making us feel welcome, proving great food, keeping up with grounds, helping us with misc event stuff, and just having a true mutual interest.

MOST IMPORTANTLY- THANKS TO ALL OF YOU FOR SUPPORTING THE BANDS AND BEING A PART OF SUCH A FUN EVENT! THE WEATHER WAS UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!

8pm UNEXPLAINED BACON – Whether you like your bacon skillet fried, served as a side, or playing from your player, one thing is clear, people always keep coming back for more Bacon. This uniquely likeable band from Warwick, New York has left its grease stains on the scene for over 13 years now.Their sound has been described as classic rock meets jam funk
with a little reggae and world beat to generate a sizzle that can only be described as bacon.

9pm TIGERMAN – Not so long ago in a basement not that far away, in the deepest darkest depths of New Jersey, Tigerman was born. The band is a highly improvised, mostly instrumental product of the diverse musical backgrounds of its members who met while studying music at William Paterson University. Consisting of Adam Carelli on Sax and Wind
Synth, Jay Gogel on Keys and Samples, Kurt Althoff on Guitar, Joe Stracquatanio on Bass, and Rory Burns on Drums. These five musicians possess the musical strength, speed, agility and ferocity of a tiger in its most primal state. Tigerman’s sound blends elements of funk, jazz, rock, pop culture, and the bizarre into a unique blend of groovy jams and epic aural journeys.
Since their formation in 2011, Tigerman has released three EPs and two holiday EPs.

Q: (Bands) Will there be people there?
A: Of course, it’s a July weekend! The music will be scheduled around quiet times out of respect & will be going on the entire weekend! There will also be river traffic coming through. Your fans will be there too!

Q: Will there be vendors?
A: Vending is allowed, however NO FOOD vending. Jewelry, clothing, art, etc is fine. SPACE IS LIMITED! 10×10 spaces avail. FOR VENDING, CALL 201-575-5503 MELISSA

Q: Is this family friendly?
A: YES! This is good times for anyone at any age.

Q: Is Cedar Rapids pet-friendly?
A: Yes. Dogs MUST be on a leash and kept with owner at all times. Dogs cannot roam freely.

Q: (BANDS) Will sound be provided? Do I need my gear?
A: Yes and yes. I am bringing a ton of sound gear that will be set up, and ready for you to plug in. There will be a snake avail with 1/4″ jacks, monitors, and mics live and ready to go.

Q: Is there a guest list?
A: Sorry, no guests.(SUPPORT THE BANDS!) Yes, I know you have a girlfriend, if she loves you she will pay, OR, if you love her-buy her a ticket.

Jordan Koza is a singer/songwriter who is currently working on the follow up to his initial

release ‘Transition’ which can be bought in CD form or from iTunes. Included on the album

are 10 original songs in varied styles. A few of the tracks from this debut album have

landed him on tri-state area radio stations and have caught the attention of local small

labels. 8 of 10 songs on the initial release will be featured on a Discovery Channel

documentary about 2 hikers completing Americas 3 longest backpacking trails.
